What is NewCo?

NewCo was designed to celebrate the spirit of innovation around the world. NewCo is a new kind of event experience: a mashup of an open studio tour and a business conference, with the vibe of a music festival. Attendees pick the companies and organizations they want to visit, and get to hear from the company’s leadership in their native environment. Read more about what makes a company a NewCo.

Our affiliates share these three traits.

  • NewCo Spotlight: Off The Grid

Off the Grid Builds Communities Around Public Spaces

When underutilized, public spaces can become eyesores, but mostly they represent wasted opportunity. By identifying and understanding the value of underutilized spaces, Off the Grid has grown 13,000% since Matt Cohen, its CEO, founded the company in 2010. People in the Bay Area mostly associate the company with food trucks, parked at places like Fort Mason and the Oakland Museum of California. Cohen, however, sees it as a logistics company.
